Integral safety enclosure for milling machines with a counterbalance guard that lifts vertically. These guards are generally manufactured to suit your particular requirements but some models are available as standard, from 1000mm to 2000mm wide. The steel-framed guards with impact-resistant polycarbonate windows are fitted directly to the milling machine.

Standard and supplied interlocking is with a coded safety switch (code 14Mic 004). Solenoid interlocking is optional and this is run by a dual-channel safety control box and sensor to match your mill’s arrangement. This option ensures that the guard is locked in position and cannot be opened until it is safe to do so.

DC injection braking is optional as is our dual channel safety control panel, along with an additional e-stop or kick-stop. Our ‘safety panels’ contain safety relays and dual-power switching contactors. This system provides redundancy and fault tolerance, and it complies with current Standards regarding safety-related parts of control systems.

The 2FV is an ideal milling machine guard for schools or colleges and for batch work that fits within the guard envelope.
